Ecommerce FAQs
How much does a complete online shop cost?
The estimated starter Lite configuration is HUF 659,000 + VAT: Core HUF 249,000, simple Sanity editor HUF 60,000, and Lite ecommerce module HUF 350,000. The Pro module starts at HUF 650,000 + VAT and also requires Core and CMS. Every configuration is tailored; the proposal confirms the final scope and fee.
What determines whether I need Lite or Pro?
The total work involved. Alongside product numbers, we consider product types, variants, the buying journey and integration complexity. We decide the category during discovery. Customer registration or accounts always require Pro; other needs are assessed individually.
Does Pro ecommerce require Complex CMS?
Not automatically. Every editor uses Sanity CMS. Ecommerce development scope and editor implementation are separate considerations; we determine the CMS scope based on the content and features to manage.
What other costs should I expect?
Beyond development, there may be maintenance and subscription or transaction fees for payment, invoicing and other services. Payment gateway and invoicing setup are included in the ecommerce module; provider usage fees are separate. We discuss the required systems before the proposal.
How long might it take?
For simpler projects, 4–6 weeks is the planning starting point; more complex shops may take longer. We confirm a deadline once product uploads, features and integrations are defined. Accelerated delivery in 2 weeks requires separate agreement and carries a 30% surcharge.
Will I be able to manage products myself?
Yes. You can manage the agreed product data, prices and content in Sanity. Training is part of handover; we define which editing and order management tasks the system covers in advance.
When does custom ecommerce make sense?
It can be a good fit when you want design, content management or operations tailored to your processes. For simple, standard requirements, a ready-made ecommerce platform may be suitable too. We assess features, development costs and upkeep together.
Do you only build shops for Budapest businesses?
We're based in Budapest and work with clients across Hungary and internationally. Discovery, planning and training can all happen online; in Budapest, we can also meet in person.
